Nio's (NYSE: NIO) signature battery swap stations surpassed 2,700 in China as the company celebrated its 10th anniversary. The 2,700th Nio battery swap station went live today in Karamay, Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker announced today.

In addition to those 56 power swap stations, NIO installed 56 more charging stations (bringing the total of the two combined to 112). NIO also opened 4 more NIO Houses. Through the end of April, NIO had a whopping 3,354 Power Swap Stations in operation worldwide.
The 2,700th Nio battery swap station went live today in Karamay, Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker announced today. Today marks Nio's 10th anniversary, and the company's founder, chairman, and CEO William Li celebrated the occasion earlier today in a post on the Nio App.
Access for Firefly, another Nio sub-brand, is expected after the introduction of Nio’s fifth-generation battery swap station next year. Nio has announced battery swap partnerships with other manufacturers, but models based on the company’s standards have not yet been launched. The company also notes that its network has served over 23,000 users to date and that on average more than 30,000 Nio battery swaps are performed around the world – that apparently equates to one being done every 2.8 seconds. Nio plans to have over 4,000 such stations in operation by 2025, but a quarter of them won’t be in China.
